HARTIS
A FRENCH COLLECTIBLE FURNITURE MAISON
BY HUGO BESNIER

Founded in 2020, Hartis is a French contemporary furniture house that blends heritage and innovation. Hugo Besnier designs furniture that gathers and welcomes essential gestures - sitting down at a table, leaning, resting. Inspired by nature and fascinated by structure since childhood, his creations weave together the rigour of human-made architecture with the textures and asymmetries of the organic world. The Tour de Mains collection is the result of a patient pursuit: furniture of conviviality, demanding and warm.

THE HARTIS HERITAGE

Rooted in French artisanal traditions, the Maison is distinguished by its commitment to preserving and enhancing ancestral know-how dating back to the 17th century, when the cabinetmakers of Louis XIV elevated the art of furniture to new heights.

In a perpetual quest for serenity and beauty,

our creations seamlessly integrate into the lives of those who seek authenticity and excellence.

Every detail, every curve is meticulously crafted to offer uncompromising quality.

EXCEPTIONAL CRAFTSMANSHIP

Each object is the result of extraordinary artisanal craftsmanship. Our artisans, most of whom are recognized as Meilleurs Ouvriers de France (the most prestigious artisanal distinction established in 1924), create each piece with passion and precision. These qualities have been passed down through generations, ensuring unparalleled quality and durability.

Hartis proudly stands as an ambassador of exceptional local craftsmanship.

We honor the origins of the techniques we use: making in France the methods born there, and in India or Japan those that originated in their own cultural traditions.

The Maison draws upon the expertise of an unbroken lineage of master artisans.

In close symbiosis with them, we bring to life furniture that are functional, comfortable

and deeply harmonious - the perfect balance between tradition and modernity.

FROM NATURE TO OBJECTS

Nature is an inexhaustible muse.

Since the beginning of time, human creation has drawn from nature - not to imitate it,

but to give it a new structure, rhythm, and meaning.

Hartis captures this dialogue by shaping forms with an architectural sensibility,

then infusing them with the textures, asymmetries, and raw beauty of the natural world.

Materials are selected with the utmost care - for their origin, nobility, and longevity.

Each piece is designed to be unique, durable, and repairable.

Respecting nature is essential to creating objects that are made to last

and to be cherished for generations.
