POINTE DINING TABLE

The oval listens -

stacked silences beneath

laughter’s fullness.

STORY OF A PIECE

INFORMATIONS

The Pointe Dining Table

belongs to the lineage

of 17ᵗʰ-century tables de milieu.

Placed at the center of a room,

they were used to display objects

or to sit around -

sometimes to read, sometimes to dine.

This table extends that heritage

in a solid oak ellipse,

a stretched circle designed

to foster the natural flow of conversation.

Its top, chamfered to be lighter,

seems to float above a central base.

Crafted in hand-patinated steel,

the latter carries a textile depth,

like a dark woven fabric.

The fine lines of the veneer

mark the traces of patient labor:

an invisible architecture -

one of the wood assembled,

piece by piece.

Oval, balanced, welcoming,

the Pointe is conceived

for an extended, joyful family.

For those long dinners

where voices overlap

without ever hurrying.

It holds within it a collective murmur,

mingled bursts of laughter,

and the quiet endurance

of conversation shared.
