INFORMATIONS

The Fusion Table

was born in the mountains of Valais,

where architectures of concrete and glass

rise among centuries-old trees.

Hugo Besnier retains an image:

a reconciliation of opposing forces -

the fluidity of fire, the stability of wood.

An assembled block of oak

supports a stream of light.

The glass is melted,

poured slowly,

then cooled over time.

It holds the memory of its molten state.

The oak, beveled with precision,

supports the frosted glass,

its edge rounded

like a frozen wave.

Anchored, traversing, alchemic,

the Fusion Table is designed

for those who live between two worlds:

poet-architects, 

artisan-philosophers - free spirits.

It carries within it

the crack of a split bark

and the mingled scent

of smoked wood and hot glass.
